Editing .qrc files[edit]
Hi
I noticed that some time ago you posted on PLRDLF's discussion page asking about editing Daggerfall .qrc files. In that discussion PLRDLF mentioned using a method other than DMPquest. Well, that method is a program called TEMPLATE. I found a later version (v1.11) than the one previous available on the net, and this version has complete documentation. I have uploaded it to my website, slushpool.fortunecity.com
There are some other interesting tools available there.
I'm planning on making some small mods and bug fixes, but it depends how much free time I get away from work. If I get them finished, I'd like to include them in Daggerfall Setup. I am interested in getting a copy of any programs or information you have used to mod Daggerfall (if they aren't already available on uesp.net).

- Thanks for the link. Theses tools will be usefull for us.
- You can found another interesting russian tool pack here (Source code here) With this, it is possible to edit most of DF files. We use this for our French Translation. All other programs we used are on UESP, but some aren't now compatible with Windows CP/Vista/7.
- If you want add your content to DaggerfallSetup, No problem, just upload your work on your site or/and UESP and send me a Link, I'll add it on future releases. You can find a list of all already included items here and more infos on theses files directly on UESP.

- Hi, I've looked at your site and the Files section here on uesp.net, but I can't find any information on what was changed/fixed in the SPELLS.STD included in DF-Setup. Do you know?

- I got around to completing a small fix for the game, it changes the graphics for the Dark Elves that weren't fixed by AndyFall. Now all the Dark Elves in Wayrest castle will look like Dark Elves. I uploaded it to the files section and to my website. -- DelphiSnake 11:47, 8 November 2011 (UTC)

DaggerfallSetup Issue on WiWiki[edit]
I noticed on Reddit a user couldnt download Daggerfall Setup, i went to the Daggerfall page on UESP to get the link for him and i noticed the link changed to get to that page. i went to the DaggerfallSetup page and found out they updated the site and the link was different. I've already updated it for the arena and daggerfall pages, but i couldnt find or update the link for the daggerfall setup or arena. I just get a 404 error... is it possible to update it or fix this issue?
EDIT: I've realized this is an issue for the entire site that it's hosted on, unfortunately I don't speak French, but on a post it seems (according to google translate) that this has been an issue for a couple of days now on WiWiki Chizmad (talk) 16:56, 8 September 2016 (UTC)

By the way, there are some small optimizations I think should be included with the setup, on the forum for Daggerfall I included in a thread a link with my version of it, and in it i had the options.ini slightly adjusted for the best performance. Mostly I did some of the optimization and recommended configurations that were suggested in the faq/technical pages for daggerfall and other elderscrolls games. I did find one issue with the installer version, the irq was set wrong for the setup config (i believe it was HMISET.CFG ) the irq in the dos box configuration file was set to be 7, but for daggerfalls set of files it's set to 5. Chizmad (talk) 17:47, 10 September 2016 (UTC)

Performance Tweaks that are possible for z.cfg[edit]
Recently a user on /r/Daggerfall found out a few options that can be added to z.cfg that can eliminate screen tearing and stuttering. you can increase the texturememory and objmemsize in KB by adding these to z.cfg:
texturememory 40000 objmemsize 40000
the user also documented a way to reverse the stereo audio and enabling floating-point calculations for use with the game.
thought id drop this by you so that it might be used to improve your DaggerfallSetup project :p EDIT i had to set each to 20000 to get it to run with this tweak, im guessing it is dependant on the max ram you can use with dosbox and what you have it set to. i have mine set to 63mb in the options in dosbox.conf, i can vouch for this, i get a bit of better performance with it. im sure if its experimented with, we could find a balance with this tweak that allows for the minimum daggerfall needs and the max we can add to it without errors or limitations. - yeah; it appears after a few weeks, nobody has given any input on the tweaks. If you feel its an improvement, try adding it as an optional thing after you hit next on the configuration of the install (ie fixes, eye of argonia, etc) so people dont install it if it doesnt work. this means a user could just re run the install if it doesnt work for them and just uncheck that box to uninstall the fix. Question about daggerfallsetup[edit]
Hey sorry for putting this on your talk page, but I'm not sure how to contact you. First of all great work on the setup, you are the most responsible for new daggerfall players who cannot get dosbox to work, true hero.
Anyways my question is, when I used the setup I installed the component hackfall and nothing else (besides Eye). I later manually installed DFQfix 3.3 but that is the only mod. Now when I go to Wayrest I see that Barenziah etc isn't dark elf skin. Now this is not a problem for me but I am worried if the hackfall installed correctly. I also noticed you have the Wayrest skin as a seperate option AND the magic def,
So my question is: What exactly does JUST selecting the "hackfall release 3" option actually include in daggerfallsetup 2.12.0? Is it the Gem Store fix & the Castle Llugwych fix? Just want to make sure exactly which patches it does and if mine installed correctly and the dark elf is a seperate option.

DaggerfallSetup Mirror[edit]
Hi Ancestral Ghost! It seems Wiwiland is offline again, and the DaggerfallSetup.exe download along with it. We were wondering if you would object to UESP hosting a mirror download to ensure the file doesn't disappear from the net? I can't find any extant mirrors online. I really appreciate your work on the Daggerfall Setup projects. It has meant alot to the community. Because of the DFSetup ive been able to get many people to play the game that were turned off by having to install and configure using dosbox.
So thanks for your work on the project :3
