Kornalus Frey is a High Elf warlock who can be found in the ruined fort of Harmugstahl, conducting disturbing experiments on the unfortunate frostbite spiders residing there.
He wears Black Mage Robes and Black Mage Boots, and carries a dagger of up to Elven quality.
Dialogue[edit]
If snuck up on, he can be overheard muttering to himself:
- "Perhaps some more Glow Dust in the next batch of potions. That should increase their resistance."
- "Let's see if this works..."
- "No, but that won't account for the size issue. Blast, if only so many of these creatures hadn't escaped."
When you approach him, he will confront you, before attacking you:
- "What? How did you get this far?"
If you can sneak into the room unnoticed and pull the lever keeping the spiders in their enclosure, Kornalus will yell out:
- "What? No! Get back in your cage!"
Notes[edit]
- Kornalus' physical appearance is randomly generated; he may look different in each playthrough.
- There is no known connection between him and Mercer Frey
- The key Kornalus holds is called Kornalus Frey's key. It cannot be pickpocketed from him; the only way to get it is to kill him and take it from his body.
- A slightly longer conversation can be seen in the game data, but appears to have been removed in the final version. Kornalus would have confronted you, saying:
- "What? Who are you? How did you get this far?"
- Your weird experiments are over, wizard.
- "Your corpse will feed my spiders for weeks. Now die, you fool!"
- If you raise Kornalus with a raise dead spell (dead thrall, dread zombie, etc.), any time he enters combat, he will use the second line of fight dialogue seen above.
