Sundered from Eastern Skyrim in years past, High King Svargrim rules the cold and unforgiving land known as Western Skyrim. Consisting of the holds of Haafingar, Karthald, and Hjaalmarch, the realm gives rise to hardy natures, brave warriors, and suspicious townsfolk.

Western Skyrim is a Nordic kingdom in northern Tamriel. It is ruled by High King Svargrim and is not under jurisdiction of the Ebonheart Pact. It includes the holds of Haafingar, Hjaalmarch, and Karthald, and sits above the Greymoor Caverns section of the underground expanse known as Blackreach.
Western Skyrim is a zone added by the Greymoor Chapter. The zone also contains an entrance to the Castle Thorn group dungeon, but the Stonethorn DLC is needed in order to access it.
