A binding censer used by Amunara to control Cynric Ginise

You will first see Amunara speaking to Cynric Ginise:

Amunara: "This will keep you out of Amunara's fur until she gets the shield."

<As you approach the scene, she disappears in smoke>

Cynric Ginise: "Tides swallow her! Ah … traveler, may I ask a favor?"

As you enter you will see her speaking to necromancers:

Amunara: "Hurry now! Find a way to the Shield Hall!"

Approach her and she'll ask:

Amunara: "Who're you? Another mercenary?"

Speaking to her:

"Another mercenary? Running a bit late, aren't you? This one has all the help she needs. They will already cost more than she budgeted for.
You do appear quite exceptional, though. Perhaps Amunara could swap out one of the others for you."
No, Cynric asked me to take the Trials of Worth. I'm here to earn Lady Garick's shield.
"Oh, by all the stars! Why must that ghost make this difficult? Amunara didn't even know he'd be here! Who sticks around after they die to give people tests?
This one sympathizes, but when Amunara leaves here, the shield goes with her."
Why do you want this shield?
"Amunara supposes that's fair to tell you. There's a story about Lady Garick's famous shield. Arkay himself anointed it with his blood. Allegedly.
An ambitious young necromancer could use such an artifact. Draw out its power to become stronger."
Then what are the mercenaries for?
"Who knows what dangers lurk in this old ruin? And Amunara refuses to dea with this trials nonsense. The mercenaries will help me break through into the Shield Hall.
Look, be reasonable. Move on and no one will know. Now, this one has work to do."
What do you plan to do with the shield?
"It's quite exciting! Legends say Lady Garick's shield contains the power of Arkay. It preserved her life as long as she held it, yes?
If Amunara can absorb that power, think of the possibilities!"
Necromancer:
Not a Necromancer:
Why would Arkay choose to help a necromancer like us?
"Amunara knew she recognized another bone-raiser! Arkay usually hates us, yes?
But this one found a technique to invert the shield's Divine energy. If transferred into her summoned dead, they could gain the same protection that Lady Garick enjoyed."
How does that technique work?
"Nice try! This one appreciates your ambition, though. This will stay our secret for now. Amunara doesn't need more competition than already exists.
Perhaps once it's ready, you can read the published treatise. Amunara will send you a copy."
Why would power from Arkay improve your abilities?
"Normally it wouldn't. Arkay can't stand necromancers. We blur the line between life and death.
But Amunara may have found a way to invert the Divine energies in the shield! She could give her summoned dead the same protection Lady Garick enjoyed."
Tell me about yourself.
"Amunara doesn't like to talk about herself. This one is just a simple Khajiit bone-raiser trying to make her way in the world.
Look, Amunara just met you. Perhaps next time we can swap stories. For now, this one has a shield to acquire."

Exit out of dialogue, and Cynric comes running up:

Cynric Ginise: "Ignore her poisonous words! Stay true to your honor!"
Amunara: "This one's binding failed? I worked hard to make that!"

Speak to her again and she'll be insistent she'll be the one to have the shield:

"The opinions of some ghost knight means nothing to Amunara. This one didn't come so far and spend all her gold on mercenaries not to get that shield.
By all means, go through the trials if you want. Just stay out of Amunara's way."

As you head towards the first trial:

Amunara: "Say goodbye to the shield, ghost-knight!"<Amunara vanishes in a puff of smoke>
Cynric Ginise: "Hmm. Quickly, enter the first trial."

Enter the next area and you'll hear Amunara chiding her mercenaries:

Amunara: "This one doesn't care if the ghost-knight frightened you! Find a path to the Shield Hall!"

At the trial of wits, Amunara starts to lose patience:

Amunara: "Why are these corridors so damn confusing?"

While talking to Cynric, he'll suddenly be pulled out of the room:

Cynric Ginise: "Huh? What sorcery comes now?"
Cynric Ginise: "Brigand! Unhand me!"
Amunara: "Lower the wards, ghost-knight!"
Cynric Ginise: "Nay!"
Amunara: "Your lady is dead. What does it matter?"
Cynric Ginise: "It's a matter of honor!"
Amunara vanishes again.

Amunara manages to sneak past the next challenge:

Amunara: "Amunara doesn't need to solve some stupid puzzle to find the shield, challenger."
Cynric Ginise: "Curses. The door is now unlocked. The question is, can you make it there?"

In the last area, Amunara sends her minions to attack:

Amunara: "Attack! Amunara commands you!"

Make your way to her and she'll be casting a spell to get around the wards:

Amunara: "I will not be denied!"
Cynric Ginise: "She's distracted. Now's your chance. Use the censer!"

Use the censer to bind the Khajiit:

Amunara: "What? How?"
Cynric Ginise: "How does it feel, necromancer? You and your dishonorable ways came close, but not close enough."
Amunara: "Release Amunara! This one must have that shield!"

Speaking to her before Cynric:

"Amunara's own censer? How dare you use that against her?"

After answering the questions, Amunara will continue with her threats:

Amunara: "You will regret this. This one swears it."

Speaking to her again:

"Amunara will be free eventually, dull-claw. Then this one will exact her revenge. Remember these words."

You leave Amunara to her threats and bindings.
