Wallace

Wallace is a Redguard thief who, while listed in the Construction Set, never appears in the actual game. He is set up to appear in Chorrol and seems to have been intended to play a role in the Dark Brotherhood quest The Assassinated Man as he possesses one related line of dialogue and he also shares a script with the enforcer Hides-His-Heart.

Wallace would have had a fairly simple schedule. He would wake up at noon after a long night of wandering around. He would proceed to have a two-hour meal. After this meal, he would wander around some more for the next four hours. At 6pm, he would have another two-hour meal. Wallace would then walk around for the remainder of the night until 6am. At this time, he would seek out a bed to sleep in for the next six hours. All this would have taken place at his undesignated "editor location".

He would have worn a coarse linen shirt, laced leather pants and a pair of rough leather shoes. He also would have carried a small amount of gold with him.

Quest-Related Dialogue[edit]

The first time you speak to him he will curtly tell you:

"Sorry, buddy. I'm with Hides-His-Heart, and I can't be distracted."

If you ask him about Chorrol he will say:

Chorrol
"Chorrol? That's where we are, right? Really? Great. I don't care. And I'm not interested. But it's sure nice of you to let me know."

If you attempt to speak with him again, he will dismiss you:

"Look. I don't want to talk. So leave me alone."

Notes[edit]

  • He shares his attached script, Dark05EnforcerScript, with Hides-His-Heart as well as a similarly cut character, Homraz gra Morgrump. The script also mentions Wallace and Homraz, stating: "disable Hides-His-Heart and his men until they're needed by the quest". The script also contains code to disable Wallace's ref, but this code is commented out, and Wallace doesn't have a placed ref in the final game.
