Sir Juncan is a Redguard ghost added by the Knights of the Nine official download. He was a Knight of the Nine long ago and quested for the Boots of the Crusader, but is now found in ethereal form in the basement of the Priory of the Nine, guarding the Cuirass of the Crusader. There he will give you the quest Nature's Fury.
Sir Juncan wears chainmail boots, gauntlets, greaves, and helmet. He also wears a Knight of the Nine Cuirass. He wields a steel longsword in combat.

Quest-Related Events[edit]
Priory of the Nine[edit]
Juncan is the sixth ethereal knight you will need to defeat in order to access the Cuirass of the Crusader. After you've defeated Sir Caius, Sir Amiel will introduce him with:
- "You show a fury of faith that I have not seen in centuries. But now you face Sir Juncan."
After you defeat him, Amiel will exclaim:
- "You have lost, Sir Juncan. Sir Torolf, show the challenger the ferocity of the North."
Juncan will then return to his position and kneel down. Once you have defeated all other knights, he will remain standing in the same spot in the chapel undercroft.
Later asking him about the Shield of the Crusader before you obtain it will have him reply:
- "Sir Henrik spent his days looking for the Shield. He was so determined; we all were in those days."
Sir Amiel will tell you about about Sir Ralvas's ill-fated quest for the Mace of Zenithar and Juncan's help:
- "When I finally received word of his quest, I went searching for him. But.. I was too late. Sir Juncan helped me carry his body back here."
Once you retrieve the Mace, Amiel will say:
- "You've passed Zenithar's challenge and redeemed Sir Ralvas. Congratulations. Sir Juncan will be pleased to hear this."
Telling Juncan that the Boots of the Crusader were necessary to reclaim the Mace of Zenithar will have him be saddened to hear this news:
- "So it was the boots that Sir Ralvas needed to complete his quest? What a fool I was to refuse to help him. I will carry this regret for all time."
Nature's Fury[edit]
When you first speak to Sir Juncan, he will greet you by saying:
- "I wish to see you succeed where I failed. I was on the path to the Boots of the Crusader, but died before I reached them. Do you wish to learn what little I know?"
- Not now.
- "Then I shall await your return."
- Tell me more.
- "I cannot tell you exactly how to find the Boots, for that will be up to Kynareth. I can tell you to seek out her Priests, though. West of the Imperial City, on the edge of the Great Forest, is a shrine. You will find them there, and they will tell you what you need to know."
Speaking to Sir Juncan again before you recover the boots will have him greet you by reminding you on who you must seek out to find the artifact:
- "Find the Priestesses of Kynareth. Only they can guide you to the boots. All I can do is set you on the path."
- Boots of the Crusader
- "The Boots are safeguarded by Kynareth herself. You must be tested, and prove yourself worthy to acquire them."
- Knights of the Nine
- "The wars of men undermined the service of the Nine. Do not follow in our mistakes."
At this point you can ask several of knights about the Boots:
- Sir Amiel: "Sir Juncan was lost attempting to find the Gauntlets [sic]. At least he was spared from the tragedy of the Order's last days. "
- Sir Casimir: "When Sir Juncan died while questing after the Boots, I mourned his loss. Now, I wonder if perhaps it was a mercy that he left us when he did."
- Sir Gregory: "The boots have been guarded by Kynareth herself for the longest time. Sir Juncan went after them, and never returned."
Once you have obtained the Boots, Juncan will thank you for succeeding where he failed
- "You are an asset to your Order. You have claimed the Boots, and for this I am grateful."
Umaril the Unfeathered[edit]
After speaking to Sir Amiel upon your return from definitively defeating Umaril the Unfeathered, Juncan and all other knights will ascend into Aetherius and disappear from the game. Instead you will be able to visit his tomb in the basement of the Priory of the Nine and receive Kynareth's Blessing: "Kyraneth [sic] grants you the swiftness of the wild." Which gives you an additional five points to your Speed attribute. This effect is semi-permanent: it stays in effect until you activate another of the Knights' tombs and receive a different blessing.
Bugs[edit]
- When asked about the Boots of the Crusader, Sir Amiel will mistakenly talk about another relic.
- The Unofficial Oblivion DLC Patches, version 16, fixes this bug.
