As the astute reader would most likely guess, Booksellers sell books. These books have a variety of effects, from simply inspiring or amusing the reader to teaching valuable skills; some even are even crucial to certain missions. Like libraries, booksellers allow visitors to browse around and read their books, although, actually taking one into your inventory counts as theft.

Unlike libraries, however, you can legally acquire the books by purchasing them from a bookseller. Furthermore, booksellers will also buy other books, notes and even magical scrolls. Lastly, while most libraries are purely educational in nature, booksellers often carry ruder or less appropriate works. These may include swashbuckling tales of adventure as well as volumes of verse and song, which can be more than slightly bawdy.

The most famous of the bookstores is in Vivec's Foreign Quarter: Jobasha's Rare Books. Other sizeable towns maintain some sort of bookshop, perhaps a merchant or two with a few common volumes, but no other shop has quite the selection Jobasha can boast.
