Designer Borzighu,[2] also known as Orc-tailor,[3] the Tidy,[2] and the Tidy Tailor, was a renowned and stylish Orc clothier in the mid-Second Era.[1][4] He was known for his pride in Orcish heritage, with many of his creations reflecting their culture.[4]
History[edit]
Little is known about Borzighu's past. As of 2E 582, Borzighu was a clothier and tailor in Orsinium. At that time, he operated his store, Coldsnap Clothiers, in the southern part of the city. His creations were regarded as the finest that gold could purchase. He strongly believed that everything should be placed in its proper order and that, under Trinimac's guidance, anyone who works hard—be they weavers or warriors—should have an equal opportunity for success.[1]
He designed numerous cultural garments associated with the Wrothgarian Orcs. He designed the Forge-Wife's Impervious Frock, which was considered a perfect elegant attire for smiths. Crafted from non-flammable gray scathecraw fibers, it offered protection against cinders, soot, hot embers, and even splashes of molten metal.[3] The Vengeance Day Dress was another of his creations, designed specifically for the formal occasion of Malacath's Vengeance Day.[5] He also designed garments for other ceremonial occasions, such as the gilt-broidered Orc Wise Woman's Vestment, created for the Wise Women of their clans and the Hunt-Wife on ceremonial days, projecting both grace and authority.[2] Another of his creations, the "Eternity" Tunic with Pants, exuded a certain flair and was believed to represent the modern Orc of his times. The bias-cut placket tunic, in his own words, was "one for the ages."[6] The Summit Lord's Silken Robes were designed to embody their season's "restrained elegance," allowing wearers to showcase their pride of Orcish heritage with style.[4] The "Brilliance" Brocade Robes were designed for Orcs who aspired to impress. Made from rich fabrics in subtle shades and accented with gold and steel, they conveyed an indelible image of wealth and power. Though wholly contemporary and urbane, they still evoked the strength of a Clan Chief.[7]
