Sea Scale at work in The Anvil Ship Company

Sea Scale is the Argonian shipmaster for The Anvil Ship Company. He can offer trips to a number of locations, as well as sell you your very own controllable sailing ship, the Evening Star, for a mere 25,000 gold. In his off hours, he serves as a Thieves Guild fence, using his company to ship illegal goods all over Cyrodiil and beyond.

Sea Scale's daily routine never changes: he gets up at 6am and eats breakfast for two hours, then gets straight to work, during which anyone who knows of his less-than-legal activities can avail themselves of his services. He keeps the office open until 4pm, then heads over to the Black Flag Tavern from 7pm until midnight, when he comes home and goes to bed.

Sea Scale wears The Deceiver's Finery (L25) and gold-trimmed shoes; he's armed with an antique cutlass and carries a peeled banana and the key to the Ship Company building.

Sea Scale offers trips to a wide variety of locations; he has something to say about all of them.

  • Bravil: "Bravil? Why would you want to go there? It smells. I suggest you jump overboard before you reach Bravil. Anywhere is better than that dump! Maybe pirates will attack the ship, it would be a better fate to die at sea!"
  • Duncori Walk: "Oh, that's in Elsweyr in the desert isn't it? No? It's on the coast? I did not know that. Hmm, no ships travel directly there from Anvil. One could always drop you off as it sails passed I suppose."
  • Firsthold: "Hmm, you want to visit the land of the Altmer? A most unusual place, they have funny building ideas!
  • Fort Akatosh: "Are you joining the army? I have a cousin who tried to join, but they weren't accepting Argonians."
  • Imperial City Waterfront District: "I don't like the Imperial City. Too dry, too crowded. Well, I guess some people like big crowded cities. Try not to get lost."
  • Leyawiin: "Ah, Leyawiin! The best place to live, in Cyrodiil. Lots of fresh water to swim in."
  • Stirk: "That's a short trip, and the Magnificent is sailing that way very soon."
  • Sutch: "That's just up the coast! Why go there when you are already here on the coast?"

If you want to buy the Evening Star, he'll be happy to deal with you: "So you think you want to try your luck out on the vast Abecean Sea huh? It seems this is your lucky day cabin boy [girl], I just bought a ship off a "retired" pirate."
