Old Mina

Old Mina is an old High Elf commoner who lives in the Bravil Flophouse, a low-rent apartment building in Bravil. Her son was recently hanged by the City Watch for theft, and she has become lost in her grief, so much so that she's forgotten to pay her rent (see Lanz gro-Ghra's Rent Money).

Mina rises at 6am every morning and leaves the Flophouse to wander around the southern end of town, near the gallows where her son was hanged. She spends a few hours there, then heads over to The Gallows Cookhouse to eat lunch for four hours. At 1pm, she resumes wandering around the gallows, taking a break at 7pm for a two-hour dinner. At 11pm, she returns to the Flophouse and goes to bed.

She wears a collared shirt and belted braies, and carries three apples.

Mina occupies a small room in the Flophouse, in the back right-hand corner. It holds a bed, a small table where she can eat, and a shelf over the bed for storing her things. The space is neatly kept and even has a small picture over the bed.

Mina is a sad old woman who has lost her way since her son died: "Oh Samuel... why did you have to do that... stupid, stupid boy..." If you ask what happened, she'll say: "My son, Samuel... he's dead... He was always protective of me, ever since his father died... We don't have much money, so... he tried to steal some food for us... for me... The guards caught him, and as an example, they publicly hanged him... That's him out there, hanging from the gallows... Oh Samuel..."
