Leonde in his home

Leonde is a retired Imperial commoner who still works from his home gutting and scaling fish for market.

Leonde gets up at 6am every day and eats breakfast for two hours. After that, he walks around the house for a couple hours, then sits down to gut fish. At 2pm, he gets up and does more work on his feet until 8pm; he eats a two-hour dinner, then heads to bed.

He wears a set of fishing waders and sack cloth sandals; he carries a clove of garlic, some dried fish, and a key to his house.

Leonde's house is located in the Bravil Docks, above the Dock Master's office. Most of the lower floor is occupied by tables he uses for his work; the rest holds an overturned boat on a scaffold, and his dining table. His bed is located upstairs, in a small loft.

Leonde is a bit antisocial and doesn't like people bothering him: "What? What are you doin' in here? Why can't people jest leave me alone! I don't bother anyone, why does everyone have'ta bother me?" If you tell him you can smell fish, he says: "Thet's because I'm a fisherman, you dolt! I catch fish, I gut fish, I scale fish! The smell is comin' from all the damn fish!" If you chide him for being angry, he replies: "I'm angry because no-one in this damn city knows how to leave an old man alone! I spent my whole life dealin' with you people, and now I'm retired, I just want to be left in peace!"
