Jafir the Merchant

Jafir the Merchant is a Nord merchant who runs Stones and Statues, a shop in Bravil that sells all manner of stonework.

He leads a simple life. He gets up at 6am every morning and eats breakfast for two hours, then goes downstairs to open his shop for the day. He remains open until 8pm, then goes upstairs to eat dinner and thence to bed.

Jafir dresses in green - brocade shirt, silk pants, and silk shoes - and is armed with an ebony dagger; he carries a small amount of gold and the key to his shop.

Jafir's shop is located in the southwestern corner of Bravil, near the gallows; it has numerous statues placed outside as advertisement. The shop itself takes up the ground floor, while Jafir's quarters are on the upper floor; he has a bed, dining table, and dresser, along with various containers for storage, but little in the way of decoration.

Jafir's greeting varies depending on your race: if you're neither Argonian nor Khajiit, he'll say: "Jafiir, artist, trader and an admirer of the fine arts. At your service." He doesn't like Argonians very much: "Would you please stop to get so close with your tongue to my... by all gods you haven't touched my nose, did you?" and thinks Khajiit are semi-intelligent at best: "Ah, you want to barter! You have drak? Because I only take drak! If you no drak. You not barter! Can you follow?" Aside from this, however, he has nothing to say.
