Duchess Giselle exits her cabin

Duchess Giselle is a High Elf noble from Summerset Isle. She has come to Cyrodiil with her husband, Duke Agrivaine, and Lord Kildred and Lady Trivelda on their ship, The Gilded Duckling, to tour various cities. Currently, they are moored in the Bravil Docks.

Since she's on vacation, Lady Giselle stays up late and sleeps in. She wakes at 9am and spends two hours getting dressed. She sits down for a late breakfast/luncheon at 11am with her husband for another two hours, then wanders about below-decks. At 6pm, she sits down to dinner with her husband and their guests for three hours, after which they play cards for another four hours until 2am. By then, she's worn out and retires to bed.

Lady Giselle wears a gold outfit, gold-trimmed shoes, and a rose ruby amulet; she carries five strawberries and a key to the ship.

Despite being a noble, Lady Giselle is friendly and approachable, though a bit dotty. She'll greet you warmly: "Hello. How nice to see you." and talk freely about a number of subjects, like:

  • The captain: "He isn't with us, we left him behind in Shimerene. Agrivaine likes to play captain when we take these trips. Isn't that nice?"
  • The ship: "It belongs to my loving husband, Agrivaine. The Gilded Duckling isn't his favourite ship, but I think it's perfectly comfortable. Isn't it nice?"
  • The duke: "Agrivaine? He is a Duke, which makes me a Duchess. Isn't that nice? We live in Shimerene on Summerset Isle."
  • Shimerene: "Oh, Shimerene is a very nice town, with a wide harbour. Thanks to the smaller of the two Summerset Isles, the harbour water is always calm. I wasn't born in Shimerene however. I was born in Alinor, a very nice town on the west coast of Summerset Isle. The harbour isn't so grand though. Of course, the harbour here is very nice too. Though it's called a dock rather than a harbour by the locals. Yes, Bravil Docks are very nice. We recently came from Leyawiin. They have a harbour too, and it's very nice. The Port Authority was not so nice."
  • Bravil: "It's... um. It's a little grotty, isn't it? Still, I'm sure the people who live here must think it is very nice, otherwise they'd leave! Leyawiin was much nicer. They're suffering from a spot of flooding at the moment though, but I'm sure they'll sort it out. We didn't get to see much of Leyawiin city however. I'm afraid my husband had a bit of an upset with one of their authority figures. Still, we're here now rather than there, which is nice, so my husband can enjoy himself. Isn't that nice?
  • Lady Trivelda: "Well, she can be a little curt at times, but I'm sure I deserve it. She grew up with my husband in Shimerene, isn't that nice? She and her husband, Lord Kildred, are our guests here on this ship. Isn't that nice?"

Notes[edit]

  • After completing the quest Strange Bedfellows, if The Gilded Duckling has sailed away from Bravil, then it will no longer be possible to meet Lady Giselle.
